Steele Government Strategies kicked off the holiday season by volunteering with Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network (A-SPAN) to pack brown bag lunches for those in need living in Arlington County. Through our social impact program, STEELE Connections, we are steadfast in our commitment to making a meaningful difference by giving back to the communities where we live and work.
Early Saturday morning, STEELE employees along with their families, teamed up to fill bags, fill tummies and lift spirits. We stacked cheese on top of turkey, placed finished sandwiches in a brown bag filled with drinks, cookies, potato chips, and fruit. From there, a quality check ensured that all 100 sandwiches and bagged lunches were ready for delivery to A-SPAN’s homeless shelter.
A-SPAN is a non-profit community service organization located in Arlington, Virginia. Throughout the year they provide permanent housing, supportive services, shelter, street services, and other life-sustaining services for Arlington’s most vulnerable individuals through outreach and relationships built on trust and respect.
